At 8-years-old, most of us are still learning how to color inside the lines.
But Zacky Taylor, an 8-year-old shredder who spends his time between San Clemente, California and Hanalei, Kauai, is not like most other kids his age. For proof? Check out a couple clips of his from a recent trip to Texas’ premier wavepool, Waco Surf.
Is it just us, or are the kids getting better and better, earlier and earlier?
If you’re not hucking airs like this by the time you hit double digits, then why even bother?
Not only is Zacky a sight to see in the pool, he’s also doing well in the jersey. He’s the 2021/22 Western Surfing Association champion, and he recently took home first place at another WSA contest in Huntington Beach.
Also, this wasn’t young Zacky’s first trip to Waco either. Two years ago, when he was 5 years old, he hit the park, was pushed into a wave, crawled to his feet, and tucked in for a tube.
But man, the kid has progressed massively in just two years.
Imagine what he’ll do in another two years, when he’s an old guy at 10 years old?
