Ben Gravy sure gets around.
Last week, the self-proclaimed novelty wave surfer scored San Diego with Jacob “Zeke” Szekely.
Before that, the dynamic duo chased surf spawned by Hurricane Lee all over the East Coast.
During the summer, Gravy traveled all over Europe scoring weird waves in places like Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium.
In Gravy’s latest vlog that dropped yesterday, he braves his biggest challenge yet: the incredibly crowded sh*t show called Malibu.
Gravy captioned the edit above:
“Stoked to score Malibu, California with only 1,000 people out!”
It doesn’t look like he’s exaggerating.
Gravy hooks up with Poopies, formerly of Jamie O’Brien sidekick fame, for a session on a 9’0 soft top.
Surfing Malibu, and therefore facing the inevitable drop-ins and numerous people on a wave, is a “lifelong dream” for Gravy. But in true Gravy form, he manages to stay cool and lets people drop-in on him in the POV footage.

“I used to live and surf in Malibu – it was a great time but the fires mudslides and crowds drove me back to Encinitas. Your aerial footage was awesome!”
“I learned to surf at Malibu. And yes, it was crowded in the 60s. My friends and I mostly surfed the second point which is faster, shorter but fewer people. We often had it to ourselves. On bigger days, it’s both a world-class wave and maybe one to avoid.”
“Those of us also on the Sobriety Journey appreciate you checking in with guys like Bam and Poopies. You’re setting a great example and others seem to be noticing. Hectic. Nuking.”
