San Clemente’s 2% Surf dominated the Challenger Series this year.
To add a cherry on top of 2023, they just released a full length film, called “Smooch”, featuring newly minted CT surfers Crosby Colapinto, Kade Matson, and Cole Houshmand, alongside Kolohe Andino, Jett Schilling, and a whole lot more.
While the full film rules, Colapinto’s section (starting at 33:50), is an absolute banger. Mostly shot during a freesurf trip to Indo, it’s 3-minutes straight of A clips. Huge full rotes. Straight airs with amplitude. Massive upside down hangers.
If Colapinto can translate his raw talent into CT success, he’ll be a Top 5 (and world title) contender straight off the bat.
Can you imagine? Griffin vs Crosby going head-to-head for a world title at Trestles?
