Nothing is above Dane Reynolds.
When the going got tough at Former (the brand Reynolds started with a few other pro surfer and skater friends) during Covid, Reynolds was in the warehouse boxing, shipping and writing notes to his customers. And when he opened the doors to the Chapter 11 Surf Shop in Ventura, Reynolds was the first employee to work the cash register – a job he still keeps today.
Talk about leading by example.
While the current Chapter 11 Surf Shop is about to be demolished, not to worry: It’ll be relocating to a new (and we assume bigger/better) building this fall. Which is great news. What other surf shop has the likes of Reynolds, Eithan Osborne, Jake Kelley and Micky Clarke working behind the counter? How stoked are the groms in Ventura?
According to the Instagram post above, The Ch11 store is getting torn down “in the name of progress” and “today through Sunday everything in store is 40-70% off.”
If you’re in Ventura, you might want to head over to the shop at 365 East Santa Clara Street as soon as possible. Because where else can you haggle over the price of T-Shirts and tailpads with the best surfers in the world?
