Surfers and animals have a unique relationship. They generally coexist without crossing paths.
Every once in a while they do and usually everyone goes unscathed, like the penguin and surfers in a Brazilian lineup and the whales who hung out with a surfer in Australia.
But then there are the interactions between surfers and animals that end up less Disney and more like an MMA match, like the dolphin that slammed into a paddle boarder and the animal below who assaulted a wake surfer.
Wakeoutfitters posted the clip above for Wipeout Wednesday and captioned it:
“Something we’ve never seen before! Has this happened to anyone else? #goosed #wipeoutwednesday @orrrick“
In the clip above, a wake surfer is cruising along behind a boat minding his own business.
Suddenly a big swan flies right down the line directly towards the surfers. He tries to swat it away, but loses all control and wipes out.
Viewers sure had fun in the comments below:
“It’s because he didn’t have AFLAC insurance.”
“A real-life Aflac commercial.”
“Lol, I used to see this swan regularly while working on the lake. There’s a Male and a female actually. Nice to see they’re still antagonizing boaters years later.”
“It got worse after he went in the water. I guarantee it.”
“I was chased by one on a lake in Michigan while riding a jet ski. I was able to speed away but it scared the shit out of me.”
“Y’all see how the bird moonwalked out of there at the end.”
“Halt, this is the goose police. You’re under arrest for violating the speed limit”
