Susie Terry, aka “Surfer Susie” on the socials, loves surfing a lot. A lot, a lot.
The Septuagenarian surfs as much as possible, but more so than her actual surfing, she’s more well-known for her videos talking about surfing. In fact, she’s somewhat viral.
Check out one of her most recent clips below.
“Okay, dudes,” she says into the camera, foaming at the mouth with stoke.
“I’m at the freaking beach, bitches. I went surfing. I’m trying to hold myself together, amongst the f*cking surf schools. What can I tell ya?
“Okay, I said the F-word. I’m too stoked right now, I can’t even contain myself.
“F*ck! Yes! Oh, bitch! Yeah, I went surfing, man.
“Piss poor wave selection. I did sh*tty. I did crappy. I’m callin’ it. I was a sh*tshow.
“But you know what? I went out. I attempted it. I’m feeling so good about the fact that I went out. I’m spitting all over myself. You notice that sh*t?
“I’m kinda crazy right now. But I’m actually so stoked that I went out and tried to surf. The key word is: ‘tried.’ Okay, kook. Kook city. Right here.
“But hallelujah. I went to the beach and I went out surfing.
“Ooooooooo!”
So, who exactly is this extremely stoked, hilariously vulgar woman?
Born and raised in Ventura, California, Susie was inspired to begin surfing at the age of 11 after her parents took her to see the 1959 film, Gidget. And she’s been surfing since.
As to why (and how) she’s so stoked to surf at her age?
“Mindset,” she told O’o Hawaii. “People get so worried about what people think of them. Am I gonna be able to do it? How am I going to look doing it? Do what you love.”
“Sometimes you don’t know because you haven’t done anything. You’re never too young to start and you’re never too old to stop.”
Don’t stop, Susie.
