Last week, Ben Gravy rode a speedboat wake down a sandbank in Florida for a ridiculously long time.
Yesterday he one upped himself.
Somewhere in New Jersey, Gravy used Jet Ski assist to chase down a ferry as it rounded a shallow sandbar at full-speed. With a savvy driver and a well-timed jump, Gravy stepped off the ski and into the tube on what must be the biggest and best ferry wake ride of all time. At first glance, this looks like a real ocean wave, or maybe even a section of Slater’s Lemoore wave pool. Not at all like a ferry wake from a passenger boat as it shuttles tourists around the Garden State.

“This moment is the culmination of over 7 years of hard work & dedication to my dream,” Gravy writes in the caption of this Instagram post. “Never in my life did I expect novelty surfing to reach this level. This is truly the most FOR THE DREAM moment of my life, an impossible concept come to complete fruition right before our eyes! The claim is…was that real?”
The king of novelty strikes again. And it’s gonna be tough to outdo himself this time.
