Nate Zoller is a road dog.
More than most surfers, Nate is traveling for the better part of the year – hunting down swells in places most of us only see on social media and surf sites. (Hey…like this one!) And recently, the Laguna Beach native hit up one of his favorite haunts: Mexico.
In his latest edit, entitled “Cacique,” Nate scores an insane amount of tube time at Mexico’s famed righthand pointbreaks. Like, we’re talkin’ more tube time than most people get in a year…or a lifetime.
About the trip and the edit, Nate told Surfer:
“I edited this footage from a swell chase down in Mexico recently.”
But the trip didn’t solely revolve around surfing; Nate was also there working with Waves for Water, a philanthropic organization, started by Laguna Beach surfer Jon Rose, to bring clean drinking water to those who need it around the world.
Nate continued:
“I’ve been going to this region for a while now and decided to team up with Roark and Waves for Water along with some local surfers to help install water filtration systems at local elementary schools.”
It’s always good to give back when you’re traveling.
Nate added:
“Tubes in the morning, clean water initiatives in the afternoons.”
Not too shabby.
