A couple of weeks ago we shared a clip of Mason Ho and Noa Deane surfing a very fun slab in Australia. At head high, it was an easy roll-in to barrel, ending in the relative safety of a deep water channel.
Well, the pair went back — along with Shaun Manners — during a solid swell, and found the wave entirely transformed.
There’s not much approachable about this day.
Rather than an easy entry, each wave requires a late drop under the lip straight into the tube. Noa Deane’s clip at 1:38 hardly makes sense — even after watching twice we have no clue how he made the drop, much less the tube.
As always, Ho’s edits showcase sessions in their entirety, including the wipeouts and near-makes, which is one of the most endearing things about his YouTube channel. Ho always leaves us wanting more.
