Frankie Harrer is a soft-spoken Mom from Malibu.
She’s also an amazing tube rider.
While Harrer is mostly known for her stylish freesurf clips and her barrel riding prowess at Teahupo’o, she has previous experience in a jersey, having won a contest at Pipeline as a teenager — her only QS win ever. While she only surfs Pipe “four or five” times each year these days, she keeps her skills tack sharp by chasing big left tubes in Tahiti, Chile, Africa and beyond. So it makes sense she’d be invited to compete in the Vans Pipe Masters this December.
In the clip above, we learn a bit more about Harrer while touring her Malibu home.
“Is it [winning the Pipe Masters] life changing?”
“Maybe. We’ll see,” says Harrer, with a smirk and a smile. “Hopefully it happens.”
