Many years ago, a surfer went viral.
It was long before Instagram or TikTok ever existed, and yet, countless people saw this video of a Huntington Beach surfer on local news hilariously talking about the waves.
That viral surfer was named Micah Peasley. And recently, he suffered a serious injury – a broken leg – while snowboarding. To help with his medical bills, Micah’s mom set up a GoFundMe account; here’s the description of what went down:
“If you are looking for Micah the “surferdude” on the sands of Huntington Beach CA you won’t find him there but rather layed up in a bed at USC hospital trauma center with a severely broken smashed up leg from a fluke snowboard accident.
“So many people from all walks of life, millions in fact, have enjoyed Micahs viral video. Lets show him some love to help pay for his medical and living expenses for the next few months so he can once again say those iconic words…. “Aw brah its just like, you just get the best barrels ever dude. you come in and get spit righttt out, just drop in and smack the lip, wah BAH, just drop back in like BAHHHH, just ride the barrel and get pitted, sooo pitted like THAT” BAHHH!!!
“Pass this on to family and friends to help support our much loved friend and get him surfing once again spreading the joy of surfing!!”
