When Tahiti’s Eimeo Czermak says he scored the “best wave in the world” for his birthday, and that wave isn’t Teahupo’o, we had to see what could possibly top Chopes.
And, well, we get his claim now.
While this freight train right is nowhere near as intense at Chopes, it’d be hard to argue with Czermak about his “best wave in the world” claim. From big tubes to big turns, in blue water while wearing boardshorts, this wave is every regular foots dream.
Because let’s be honest: Chopes is the world’s heaviest wave. But it’s not the best.
In the edit above, Czermak shows he’s got range. We already know he’s one of the best to ever surf Teahupo’o, but he’s just as talented streaking through rifling right tubes and laying his surfboard on rail. In this edit he does both, multiple times, on nearly every wave.
From Chopes to this wave and many more in-between: Is Tahiti the best place in the world to be a surfer?
