It’s been a banger fall season in eastern Australia.
From high-performance (and highly crowded) surfing on the Gold Coast, to massive mysto bommies off Sydney (with bodysurfing!), it’s been a solid run.
And before the season comes to an end, another Sydney slab went off; check it out below.
The footage comes from longtime surf filmmaker, Tim Bonython, with the caption:
“Once again Autumn delivers another incredible swell that was directed directly towards Sydney. I’ve filmed this place plenty of times and this was definitely the biggest day out there which made me feel it was a Monday in May with plenty of madness going on.”
Monday madness. Nice.
The crew consisted of Aussie chargers Kirk Flintoff, Dylan Longbottom, Richie Vas and Moroccan visitor, Jerome Sahyoun. They had a handful of jetskis in the water, allowing the crew to easily whip into the massive, mutant waves – which would likely be a bit troublesome if they were to attempt to paddle.
And, of course, amidst the makes, there were a handful of vicious wipeouts, too.
Like, how’s that airdrop at the 8:01-minute mark?
Yeah, this isn’t your average day of surfing.
