Back in October of 2022, Team Volcom and Fat Tire flew to North Carolina to take advantage of a fun swell hitting the Outer Banks. The forecast and conditions looked uncertain, but the crew lucked into a solid run of sand-bottomed, East Coast perfection and now have a new edit to show for it. “Bunker” showcases the tube-riding talents of Balaram Stack, Ryan Burch, Mauro Diaz, Gabe Morvil, Seth Conboy, Kobe Hughes, Jake Maki, John Mincher, Rob Brown, and more.
“The wind blew, the rain came and went.. then things lined up, the wind went offshore the swell fired up,” writes Team Volcom alongside the video below. “The crew scored 5 straight days of solid surf, anything from a wedgy hollow right to a long barreling left. It was all time, and the fun wasn’t only in the water. We were greeted by the local community with plenty of southern hospitality. We even got a 5-star rating by The Mayor himself!”
