New Jersey YouTuber Ben Gravy got his start back in 2013 chasing weird (and mostly novelty) waves around the country and turning his trips into daily online edits. In fact, he once “surfed” in all 50 states.
A decade later, he’s still uncovering novelty gold.

No, this isn’t a real ocean wave. Instead it’s created by a well driven speedboat and a pristine sandbank somewhere on Florida’s Gulf Coast. But, clocking in at 90 seconds, it’s still the longest wave ever ridden in Florida, and likely one of the longest waves ridden in the United States. Think about it: Have Rincon or Malibu produced a wave this long? Doubtful, even on the biggest of swells. The Kelly Slater Surf Ranch is the only wave that might come close to as long. And considering it’s made possible by clever engineering and a giant underwater foil, if that counts as a wave, shouldn’t this, too?
