In just a couple of days, the 2023 Western Australia Margaret River Pro will officially be underway. Marking the last stop before the mid-year cut, the surf world’s collective eyes will be tuning into what’s going down at Main Break this week.

WHO: The Men’s WSL Championship Tour Top 34 + 2 wildcards, & the Women’s WSL Championship Tour Top 17 + 1 wildcard.
WHAT: Event no. 5 of 11 on the 2023 World Championship Tour. This is the cutoff event for the remainder of the 2023 tour with the Men’s top 24 and the Women’s top 10 moving on to the next 5 events.
WHEN: Event waiting period begins on April 20th, at 8am local time. Event waiting period ends on April 30th, 2023.

INJURY UPDATE: As of April 16 on the Men’s side, Jack Robinson, Miguel Pupo, Jadson Andre, and Ramzi Boukheim are injured and will miss this event. Jacob Willcox, Reef Heazlewood, and Jarvis Earle have been given three of the four open Men’s spots with the remaining spot going to year-long injury replacement Carlos Munoz. The final two wildcard spots have been filled by Trials winners Jerome Forrest and Jack Thomas. On the Women’s side, there are no injuries to report currently, and the wildcard will be trials winner and former CT competitor Bronte Macauley.
