Like pro surfers are prone to do in winter, Jacob “Zeke” Szekely has been hanging out on the North Shore.
The last time we saw him, he showed up in one of Ben Gravy’s vlogs, psyching up to surf Waimea Bay.
Shortly before that, the self-proclaimed (and Kelly Slater approved) “wave pool king” dominated Oahu’s new (ish) wave pool, The Lineup at Wai Kai.
In his latest vlog, he runs up and down the North Shore scoring good surf as it changes throughout the day.
That’s the beauty of life on the North Shore.
Zeke dropped the edit above yesterday and captioned it:
“We Scored insane Waves all over the island, ENJOY THE VID! YEWW!”
He opens the video by saying to the camera:
“Alright guys, it’s bright and early, another beautiful day on the North Shore. Surfline’s calling it eight to ten today, there’s a lot of hype around it being a big, all-time, epic Pipeline day.”
After a surf check at Off the Wall, Zeke says:
“Rockies looks fun, so the plan is to go get a quick session in at Rocky Point and then back to Pipeline for an all-time midday to afternoon session. So, let’s go get it.”
That’s exactly what he does.
First, he surfs rippable fun-sized waves with Crosby Colapinto and some other guys at Rockies.
Then he offers some insight into his winter quiver before surfing big bombs at epic Pipe with John John and Ivan Florence, Jamie O’Brien, and a jam-packed lineup.
