Florida’s Nate Behl isn’t scared of anything.
At least not in the ocean.
For the last 10 years Behl’s been rushing Indo’s heaviest slabs: Greenbush, Kandui, and Desert Point. If there’s a 3 meter swell in the Indian Ocean, Behl is likely at one of the aforementioned waves, sitting deeper than everyone, and taking off on (literally) any set he’s in position for. To Behl, there is no such thing as an unmakeable wave. If he can catch it, he’s head down and he’s going. No matter what happens next.
The craziest thing is, these waves are far from medical help. It’s not like he has a safely net to rely on when he slams at Greenbush, hundreds of miles from a hospital. Gash to the nose? Slice to the head? Behl takes his stitches and/or super glue on the boat with a smile, and paddles back out without even a second thought.
Reckless? Sure. Worth it?
We’ll let this clip answer that question.
