Eleven-time World Champ Kelly Slater has officially landed in Portugal for the MEO Rip Curl Pro, the waiting period of which is now underway. Cameraman Peyton Willard caught the below action of the GOAT getting his hooves in the wax for a few warm-up sessions before the first horn.

Like always, the ageless one is looking sharp on his feet, despite the fact that the waves are far from the hollowed-out type of perfection Supertubos is known to produce. The last time Slater won this event was back in 2010, and he’s been known to go big in Peniche (remember this?). Let’s see if he can pull another 540 (720, whatever) as a Quinquagenarian.
